What can you expect:
At Amilia, we’re experiencing rapid growth, and we’re looking for a hands-on Controller who thrives in a collaborative, dynamic environment. Under the guidance of our Finance Director, you’ll oversee accounting and financial operations for both our Canadian and U.S. entities. Additionally, you’ll play a key role in refining and improving our financial processes to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
This role involves more than just number crunching—you’ll be integral in providing accurate financial reporting and actionable insights that drive informed business decisions.
You'll be responsible for:
Drive Process Innovation: Lead the charge in defining and refining finance operations as we implement NetSuite. Utilize new tools to enhance efficiencies and build scalable financial processes.
Streamline Financial Closures: Own monthly and year-end processes, including building balance sheet reconciliation analyses, tracking intercompany transactions, and validating monthly bank reconciliations. Prepare and review monthly financial statements with the Finance Director to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
US Growth & Tax Strategy: Dive deep into US tax processes, creating solutions that fuel and support our expansion in the US market. Prepare tax credit files (CDAE, R&D) and collaborate with external resources for annual audits.
Data-Driven Insights: Use financial data to create actionable insights. Develop dashboards and business intelligence tools that help steer company strategy.
Collaborate with Leadership: Work alongside the CFO and Director of Finance to optimize financial operations and make informed, strategic decisions.
Empower Continuous Improvement: Document and enhance accounting procedures while driving automation initiatives to improve internal controls and increase overall team efficiency.
Manage Key Administrative Functions: Oversee the company’s insurance policies and monthly invoicing. Act as a key resource for the team, offering guidance and support whenever needed.

Job requirements
What we want from you:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and CPA designation.
3–5 years of accounting experience with mastery of ASPE (NCECF).
Experience in the technology sector (TMT) and with NetSuite is an asset.
Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and ease in learning new software.
Excellent communicator (oral and written) in French and English.
Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Proven ability to adapt technologies to optimize processes.
Strong analytical skills, excellent organizational skills, and solution-oriented.
Highly reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to meeting deadlines.
Autonomous, resourceful, and creative, with a curiosity for learning best practices.
