What you can expect:

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Sales will provide strategic leadership and direction for the Sales, Partnerships and Sales Operations teams. This role is responsible for fine-tuning and optimizing the sales engine to drive growth in the North American, with a particular focus on key market segments: SMBs, Parks & Recreation, and Non-Profit. The SVP will work closely with the VP of Customer Success to ensure a seamless customer journey from acquisition through post-sales.


The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with a track record of driving revenue growth in SaaS or tech environments. With a strong background in sales leadership and team building, the SVP Sales will focus on customer acquisition, partnership development, and optimizing sales operations to support Amilia’s growth objectives.


This position plays a critical role in shaping the strategic vision and revenue growth of the company. The SVP will lead a talented team, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure alignment with overall business goals. You will be responsible for:

1. Sales Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead and manage the Sales, Strategic Partnerships and Sales Operations teams.
  • Build a high-performance, growth-focused culture within the sales team, importing best practices and developing leaders.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to ensure a unified approach toward company goals.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, reviews, and strategy sessions to align team efforts with revenue goals.
  • Identify skill gaps, provide coaching, and drive continuous team improvement.


2. Strategic Sales Direction

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with Amilia’s growth objectives, focusing on customer acquisition and revenue expansion.
  • Own the sales roadmap and define clear objectives, KPIs, and success metrics.
  • Partner with the Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to align efforts and create cohesive go-to-market strategies.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making and continuously analyze sales performance to optimize strategies.


3. Revenue Growth and Sales Execution:

  • Develop and manage annual sales plans to achieve revenue targets and ensure team success.
  • Use data and analytics to track key sales metrics, adjust strategies, and forecast future growth.
  • Drive new customer acquisition while focusing on upselling opportunities to expand existing accounts.
  • Ensure strong relationships with strategic partners to grow revenue opportunities.


4. Strategic Partnerships:

  • Identify and develop new partnerships to drive revenue growth.
  • Build and manage relationships with key industry partners, influencers, and technology providers to expand Amilia’s reach.
  • Work closely with Marketing on joint initiatives, campaigns, webinars, and industry events.


5. Collaboration with Customer Success

  • Work closely with the VP of Customer Success to ensure seamless collaboration between Sales and Customer Success teams, particularly in client handover and upsell opportunities.
  • Ensure alignment on customer journey initiatives to improve retention and enhance client satisfaction.

Job requirements

What we want from you:

  • 15+ years of experience in sales leadership, with at least 3 years in an executive role (VP or higher).
  • Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth within a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
  • Proven success in leading and scaling high-growth sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of the sales process, CRM tools (Salesforce experience is preferred), and how to optimize teams for growth.
  • Strong experience in managing teams with a focus on client upsell, renewal, and expansion strategies.
  • Strong background in developing and executing data-driven sales strategies that have led to significant business growth.
  • Experience managing partnerships, sales operations, and sales enablement initiatives.
  • Highly responsive, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills in English and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel as needed within Canada and the United States.
